New Bureau elected for Technical Committee for African Games

The recently appointed Technical Committee for the African Games (TCAG) has elected a new Bureau and the entire Committee is currently undergoing an induction workshop at the African Union Headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, from 20 to 22 November 2024.

To achieve sustainable development and meet the aspirations of #Agenda2063 that envisions the “Africa We Want”, Africa has progressively accelerated and increased the strategic investments in its greatest asset, the youth, who constitute the majority of its population.

Introducing #KeepMovingAfrica – a movement dedicated to promoting inclusiveness for women, girls and persons with disabilities.

Together, we can achieve the Africa We Want ! This campaign is initiated to educate, inspire, empower and advocate for safe, equitable and inclusive sporting environments at all levels and in all sporting codes.

African Union Sports Council marks Safe Sport Day by launching a Safeguarding Working Group

The purpose of the Working Group is to advise on concrete actions to mainstream safeguarding principles in sports and promote awareness on safeguarding in sport across Africa as enshrined in the AUSC strategic plan which identifies five key priorities, including Strategic Priority 2: Equitable Africa, which focuses on gender equality, inclusion, and safeguarding.

Celebration of unity, excellence, and Pan-Africanism at the 13th African Games closing ceremony in Accra

After sixteen days of intense competition, cultural exchange, and celebration, the 13th edition of the African Games has come to a spectacular close in the vibrant city of Accra. From the 8th to the 23rd of March, Ghana served as a gracious host, welcoming athletes and delegates from across the continent to participate in this hallmark event of African sport.
